1. The Contract
We advise you to read all of this information before proceeding. By making any booking, you agree to each of these conditions and terms and our privacy policy.
The terms and conditions are on behalf of all individuals included in the booking.
The services are those in your booking confirmation invoice.
2. Booking and Pricing
2.1 Pricing
a) Prices – All prices listed are on a per-passenger basis (shared) unless you upgrade for private per vehicle basis price. All prices are net, per service, and in euros. Prices include tour features as listed on the tour description.
b) Price changes Prices shown on the website are the current rates and can change without notice. Once you have booked a LUX MADEIRA service, we will not require you to pay any difference if the price increases. LUX MADEIRA will not refund the balance of any price reduction.
3. Exclusions: The price of your trip does not include:
Tips – It is not compulsory to tip, and our staff will pressure no one into tipping.
However, if the services provided by our team pleased you, a small proof of recognition can make a huge difference to the people helping you explore this fabulous island.
4. Change of Itinerary and Cancellations
4.1 Cancellations by the traveller.
Cancellation fees:
Packages (Hotel, Transfers & Tours):
Cancellations made six or more days before travel are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made 3 to 5 days before travel will result in a refund, deducting the cost equivalent to one night’s stay.
Cancellations made 1 to 2 days before travel will not receive a refund (100% of the total package cost).
No-shows or early departures will not receive a refund.
Tours and transfers:
Cancellations made more than two days before the scheduled event are subject to no fee, aside from a nominal €10 administrative charge per person.
Cancellations made two days before the event will incur a fee of 50% of the total cost, including the €10 administrative charge per person.
Cancellations made one day before the event will not receive a refund (100% of the total cost).
No-shows will not receive a refund.
4.2 Cancellations by LUX MADEIRA
LUX MADEIRA may cancel a tour if, due to external events, it is not viable for us to run the planned itinerary. If we cancel your trip, you can receive a full refund or transfer amounts paid to an alternate date.
4.3 Changes to bookings by the traveller
a) If you wish to change an existing reservation, you must cancel the initial booking and make a new booking. Prices applying to the new booking will be the price at the time you make the new booking. Cancellation charges may apply (refer to section 4.1). Alternatively, you can contact LUX MADEIRA and arrange a tour change directly.
4.4 Amendments to itineraries by LUX MADEIRA
We endeavour to undertake the tour as described on our website. However, due to local circumstances or events outside our control, we reserve the right to change an itinerary without prior notice.
We will try to inform you as soon as possible.
5. Confirmation and Purchase order
a) Confirmation –Upon receipt of full payment, we will issue an email for the booked tour. If you didn’t receive a confirmation email, please contact us as soon as possible.
b) Purchase order – you must present (either a paper or an electronic) at the start of the tour.
6. Your LUX MADEIRA tour
6.1 Traveller confirmation
In case of any queries and doubts, we recommend you contact LUX MADEIRA 24 hours before the start of your journey to confirm the tour departure.
6.2 Being on time
We expect tour participants to be on time at the designated tour start point to avoid unnecessary delays. If you are late, we will consider being a “no show”, and the tour will start without you, and we will provide no refund unless you send us a message. If we are delayed, we will leave a message at the reception of your hotel.
6.3 Your responsibility
All travellers taking part in the tour are responsible for themselves and their actions at all times. Should a traveller’s acts be unsafe, offensive, or inflammatory, or take pleasure from anyone else on the tour, LUX MADEIRA reserves the right to have this person removed from the trip. We will supply no refund. You must, at all times, follow the laws and customs of our country.
7. Personal Details Essential to the Tour
It is your responsibility for providing correct information during the booking process, including:

Airport Transfers (flight number)
Email address
Contact details
8. Age and health requirements
a) Age requirements – An adult must accompany travellers under the age of 16.
b) Health requirements – You must make sure you are fit to allow participation.
9. Tour Authority
A group leader runs our tours. The decision of the group leader is final on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of any traveller or staff member taking part in the trip. If you do not follow his/ her decision or interfere with the welfare of the group, the group leader may ask you to leave the trip, with no right of a refund. LUX MADEIRA also reserves the right to refuse participation in future tours – including those already booked in advance.
10. Travel insurance
We require that all travellers have valid and comprehensive travel insurance. Neither LUX MADEIRA nor their partners are responsible for any liability, expenses, or losses you incur because of being inadequately insured.
Recommendation: Bring your European Health Insurance Card to access health care services if you need them. Very important, bring it with you at all time.
11. Grievances and Complaints
If you have a complaint, please discuss it with your tour leader or LUX MADEIRA immediately and not after the tour.
